For scholarship consideration, use the following checklist:

Application Checklist

  1. Take the ACT or SAT on or before the December national test dates (entering freshmen only).
  2. Submit admission materials no later than:
    Freshmen - January 15
    Transfers - March 1 (Fall) and October 1 (Spring)
  3. Freshmen who wish to be considered for leadership, service, and diversity scholarships must submit an Informal Personal Statement available on the Admissions Application or on your MyRED account by January 15.
  4. Freshman or transfer students who wish to be considered for need-based scholarships must complete the FAFSA.
  5. Contact your UNL academic department or college about any additional scholarship requirements.

*Other scholarship sources - You will want to check with your high school guidance counselor or college financial aid office to see if they offer a scholarship search. Your local library or bookstore may also have scholarship books to help you find assistance.
