Campus Visit Tips
Here are some strategies for a successful Campus Visit. In order to help you get the most out of your time at Nebraska. Be sure to schedule your visit two weeks in advance so that your requests can be accommodated.
- The best opportunity to learn about life on campus is to visit while the students are there, so it's best to avoid finals week, student holidays, and other large visit days (i.e., Red Letter Days, Nebraska Preview etc.) These times may be more convenient for your family, but it's much harder to gain access to current students, professors, and university offices. - Dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable shoes, as the tour of campus will be a walking tour. You may want to watch the local news or check online for a weather forecast.
- Be prepared to ask questions! The best way for you to get all of the answers you're looking for is to ask questions!
- Make sure you have directions to campus before you leave home and plan to arrive on campus a little early.
