Event Details

Bring your students to the University of Nebraska–Lincoln campus for a Middle School College Access Day, an exciting group visit opportunity! When your students attend a College Access Day, they’ll have the chance to experience firsthand the many unique opportunities that await them at Nebraska.

At College Access Days, students will learn more about academic opportunities at Nebraska, tour campus, eat lunch in a dining hall and discover all that the university has to offer. This day is designed for groups of 15 students or more.

Check-in

Check-in at Nebraska Union (1400 R St.).

9:30 a.m.

Welcome to Nebraska

Get a “big picture” introduction to the University of Nebraska.

10 a.m.

Campus Tour

Experience what life is like as a student at Nebraska. Walking will be involved during the campus tour, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes. The tour does not include access to the resident halls or a current student room.

11 a.m.

Lunch

Enjoy lunch in one of our on-campus dining halls. The cost of lunch will be covered in the $5 registration fee.

12 p.m.

How to Go to College

This session will inform students on how to be successful in high school and find a path to Nebraska. We’ll also share tools and tips on paying for college.

Parking & Check-In

For cars and vans, free on-campus parking is available at the Alexander Building parking lot (1410 Q St), located directly across the street from Arby’s. Additional parking is available at the Larson Building parking garage (1317 Q St). No need to pay—we’ll validate your parking before you leave.

If you plan to provide bus transportation, please drop your students off at the Nebraska Union (1400 R St). While there, we will supply you with a parking pass to leave your bus at the Devaney Center lot 56 (1600 Court St.). Staff will be available to shuttle bus drivers back to the Nebraska Union, if needed.
