I'm First Symposium
Wednesday, March 29, 2017, 9:00 a.m.
You will be the first in your family to go to college. Which is pretty awesome.
You may be looking forward to awesome college things—like taking interesting classes, studying what you love, and the all-you-can-eat dessert in the dining halls. But as a first-generation student, you may feel overwhelmed by the process in getting there.
Well there’s good news—you’re not alone. In fact, about 1/3 of college students are the first in their family to go.
So come be not-alone with other first-generation students. Sign up to attend NEBRASKA’s I’m First Symposium and learn how you can make all your wildest dreams come true (in college).
You’ll get to experience what life could be like as a student at NEBRASKA, get a step-by-step guide through the admissions process, learn about your financial aid options, and meet other students just like you.
The best part? By attending this event, you’ll be eligible for the Emerging Leaders scholarship worth $8,000 in tuition over four years.
So what are you waiting for? Stop reading this. Go sign up. Just do it before March 22.
