Group Visit Information

Group visits are specifically designed for students in 6th-12th grades.* 

A group visit to the University of NebraskaLincoln includes:

  • Presentations on Admission & Scholarships
  • Campus Tour
  • Lunch

*Due to liability, we are not able to offer campus visits to students under 6th grade.

Days To Avoid When Scheduling Your Visit Day

To provide your group the ultimate campus visit, please refrain from scheduling your visit on the following days:

  • March 7, 8, 15, 20–24, 29, 30
  • April 4, 11, 12, 19, 25, 26, 27
  • May 3, 10, 11

Note: Dates fill up everyday, so please wait for confirmation from our events team after registering before finalizing your plans.

First Generation Symposium

More than a third of college students are the first in the family to attend college. We're hosting a special event for prospective first generation college students to help prospective first-generation college students:

  • Gain the access to resources for going to college.
  • Meet others who are new to the college-going process.
  • Explore what makes NEBRASKA a great place to start their story.

Husker Weekday

Interested in bringing your group to NEBRASKA? We have several group visit options including our College Access and Husker Weekday group visits!

Group Visit Details

Thursday

Campus visits are offered Tuesday-Thursday beginning at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Van Brunt Visitor's Center. We encourage your group to arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled campus visit time.

We cannot guarantee a campus visit to groups that are more than 30 minutes late.

Lunch

Lunch is offered to group visitors at the discounted rate of $5.70/person. You can pay the lunch fee when you arrive at the Van Brunt Visitor's Center.

Payment can be made via check (we are unable to accept credit card payment or deferred payment).

Through the College Visit Grant, you may qualify to be reimbursed for the cost of your group visit.

Parking

Parking is free if your visit is scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance. Otherwise, groups are responsible for parking arrangements.

Chaperone

Due to liability, we require 1 chaperone for every 10 students in attendance. Each chaperone should be at least 19 years of age (preferably 21 years of age).

Cancellations

In the unlikely event that you need to cancel your visit, please contact our office 3 business days prior.

Groups that order lunch will be responsible for lunch costs if they do not cancel their visit day 3 business days prior.
