Sample Schedule of Classes
Latin American Studies
OUTLINE OF PROGRAM OF STUDY:
Students have a great deal of flexibility in designing their program of studies for the Latin American Studies major. This sample program of studies shows how a student might complete a Latin American Studies major by completing 15 credit hours in four departments (five courses in economics, geography, history, and political science), 15 credit hours of advanced Spanish (five courses), and the Latin American Pro-Seminar (three credits). There are many other possible combinations; for example, students who study abroad can receive transfer credits, and those who write an honors thesis or engage in independent study can get credit for those activities.
