Sample Schedule of Classes

Meteorology and Climatology

Recommended Course Scheduling for the Meteorology/Climatology B.S. Degree

The purpose of this summary sheet is to recommend a sequence of courses for a degree in Meteorology/Climatology (especially to fulfill the eligibility for a position within the National Weather Service). If a student is not seeking NWS employment, there is flexibility in choosing and scheduling the courses required under the major.

Please refer to the requirements for the BS degree in Meteorology/Climatology in choosing and scheduling Group B courses. It is assumed that between 15-16 credit hours will be undertaken each semester. If fewer hours are taken the length of time to complete the degree may be extended.

It is the responsibility of the student to keep track of the University's General Education and the College of Arts and Sciences Requirements for graduation and to make sure their own choices of courses meet those requirements. Throughout each semester these courses should be taken under Electives.
