Accounting

Accounting is the language of the business world. Individuals who understand accounting are in a position to evaluate business transactions, advise others on the economic consequences of different business choices and take leadership roles in government and industry. Accounting is a technical field, requiring students to understand a wide range of accounting concepts and relationships. Yet, as leaders, accountants must be able to communicate to others how these concepts and relationships apply to management issues and create accounting systems that provide solutions.

Accounting often deals with historical data, but
accountants use that data to make decisions that affect the future. Whether costing products to develop a pricing strategy, forecasting financial information to secure a loan or analyzing new tax legislation to assess its impact on business transactions, accountants provide information that can be used to change the future. If you are analytical, persuasive, self confident, and flexible, you should consider accounting.

PROGRAM
