Chicago Husker Welcome

The Chicago Husker Welcome is a special gathering for students admitted to the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. This is your chance to meet your future classmates and imagine your life as a Husker—both on campus and after you graduate.
This event will be hosted in the home of successful Nebraska alumna Kristine Malkoski. Join us for appetizers and refreshments, networking with local alumni, and a formal presentation from your Nebraska Admissions representative to help you learn more about your next steps to becoming a Husker.
This open house event will begin at 4 p.m. and conclude at 5 p.m. You are welcome to arrive at any time throughout the duration of the event.
There is no cost to attend and family members are welcome. Attire for this event is business casual.

Kris Malkoski most recently served as president, global business and chief commercial officer at World Kitchen, LLC, a $700 million global housewares company.
With more than 30 years of proven leadership, marketing and innovation experience, Malkoski has held a variety of leadership positions.
Malkoski served as vice president and general manager of the Craftsman™ brand at Sears Holdings Co. from 2009 to 2012. She served as an executive vice president, chief marketing officer and chief people officer for Chicago-based Ubiquity Brands, LLC from 2005 to 2007. Kris was founder, president and chief operating officer of Pharmaceutical Corporation of America and as category general manager, new business development, OTC Health Care at Proctor & Gamble.
She currently serves on the Trustmark Mutual Insurance Company and International Housewares Association Board of Directors and was previously on the Banfi Vineyards Board of Advisors. She graduated as a Chancellor's Scholar and summa cum laude with a B.S. in journalism from the University of Nebraska. Kris was vice president of Phi Beta Kappa and recently was published in "The New Advertising. Branding, Content and Consumer Relations in a Data-Driven Social Media Era."
