The Kansas City Junior Preview is a special gathering for high school juniors considering the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. This is your chance to meet your future classmates and imagine your life as a Husker—both on campus and after you graduate.

Successful Nebraska alumni Steve and Sherry Toomey will host the event in their home. Join us for appetizers and refreshments, networking with local alumni, and a formal presentation from your Nebraska Admissions representative to help you learn more about your next steps to becoming a Husker.

This open house event will begin at 2 p.m. and conclude at 3 p.m. You are welcome to arrive at any time throughout the duration of the event.

There is no cost to attend and family members are welcome. Attire for this event is business casual.

Space for the Kansas City Junior Preview is limited.

Steve Toomey

Steve Toomey

Steve Toomey is a Nebraska graduate with a B.S. degree in marketing and an M.B.A. in finance. Steve currently serves as a board member for a Kansas City-based not-for-profit and is an executive board member and Investment Committee chair for the University of Nebraska Alumni Association.

Steve, a principal of BKD Wealth Advisors, LLC (BKDWA), oversees BKDWA’s practice offices and leads the Benefit Plan Consulting division. He began his investment consulting career in 1994. Steve provides investment consulting services to affluent families, qualified retirement plans, corporations, governmental entities, foundations and endowments.

Event concludes

Hear closing remarks from university staff and alumni and get any of your final questions or concerns addressed.
