You are invited to join us for the Diversity Open House, a campus visit opportunity where you'll meet people from different backgrounds and diverse perspectives, discuss the admissions process, and learn more about the many campus resources available to you as a student at Nebraska.

Hosted by the Office of Admissions and the Office of Academic Success and Intercultural Services (OASIS), come experience how you can find your fit at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. There is a community of support here for all students—no matter your identity or ethnic background. See how our faculty and staff will help you seek your success and discover how you can find your home away from home at Nebraska.

By attending, you'll be eligible for the Emerging Leaders Scholarship, worth $8,000 in tuition over four years.

Space for this event is limited. Please register by April 6, 2018.

Transportation:

Transportation will be available from the Omaha area. Please use the transportation dropdown on the registration form if you would like to use the free transportation.

OASIS and Gaughan Multicultural Center:

OASIS enhances student success by promoting academic excellence, diversity awareness, and social engagement. OASIS strives to transform the lives of students through culturally-sensitive academic support and retention services. Together with the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center, they provide a home away from home for underrepresented students while welcoming all university students, faculty, staff, alumni and guests.

Welcome Session: You Belong Here

Get a "big picture" introduction to the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. You'll hear from the Office of Academic Success and Intercultural Services and gain a better understanding of diversity and leadership opportunities at Nebraska.

9:35 a.m.

Academics 1

Choose from a variety of academic disciplines and learn more about your fields of interest during the academic break-out sessions, hosted by our academic colleges and departments.

10:05 a.m.

Choose from a variety of academic disciplines and learn more about your fields of interest during the academic break-out sessions, hosted by our academic colleges and departments.

10:35 a.m.

Campus Tour

Experience what life is like as a student at Nebraska. Walking will be involved during the Campus Tour, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes.

11:45 a.m.

Lunch and Residence Hall Tour

Enjoy lunch in one of our on-campus dining halls—the cost will be covered in your $5 registration fee. Following lunch, visit one of Nebraska's traditional style residence halls and see for yourself where you could be living.

12:45 p.m.

Student Engagement Session 1

Every college experience includes time spent outside of the classroom. We encourage students at Nebraska to live out their passions. During these engaging and interactive sessions, learn more about: Student government, Greek life, Intramural sports, Honors Programs, and any of our other 500+ student clubs and organizations.

Hosted by the Office of Admissions and OASIS (The Office of Academic Success and Intercultural Services). Meet faculty and students from all academic colleges represented at Nebraska. Admissions staff are also available to help you navigate through the admissions process while addressing any other questions you may have.
