Admission Requirements

Review the academic qualifications, core courses and transcripts needed to gain admission. You are not required to submit an ACT/SAT score to be considered for admission.

Prepare to Apply: First-Year Students

Before you begin your application for admission, we encourage you to gather the information listed below to streamline the application process.

International Students: A list of required documents is viewable in the international admission requirements.

High School Transcript: A copy of your official high school transcript, either a printed version or an electronic copy.

Senior Class Schedule: A list of your current courses and credits.

ACT/SAT Test Scores: While not required for admission, we encourage you to submit your official ACT/SAT composite score and individual sub scores for comprehensive scholarship consideration.

Dual Enrollment Transcripts: While not required, we encourage you to provide transcripts for any dual enrollment courses you have completed.

Social Security Number or ITIN Number: Needed for federal financial aid consideration.

Personal Email Address: Independent to the student, meaning the email address is not owned by a parent/guardian or high school institution. Ensure you will have access to this account after high school graduation so you can maintain communication with the university.

Advanced Credit Options

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln offers methods to maximize the college credit you’ve already earned. National credit-by-exam programs include the Advanced Placement (AP) Program, International Baccalaureate (IB), the College Level Examination Program (CLEP), DSST (formerly DANTES Subject Standardized Tests), and Cambridge International Exams (A-Levels).
