About 65 miles from campus or around an hour drive. Here are some options for getting from OMA to your visit in Lincoln:

Train

There is an Amtrak station in downtown Lincoln. It’s about a 1-mile walk to campus, or you can call a Lyft or Uber to pick you up. Visit amtrak.com for booking information.

Drive

When you drive to Lincoln, you’ll have many options for parking near campus. See the nearby garages in the map and don’t worry about the cost—simply bring your parking stub with you to your visit and we’ll validate it for you.

Getting around Lincoln

  • Rideshare: Lyft and Uber are both active in Lincoln and are typically available within 5-10 minutes of a ride request.
  • Walking: Downtown is very walkable and Lincoln has over 130 miles of trails throughout the city, many of them paved.
  • Bike rental: You can find bike-share units, called BikeLNK, throughout downtown Lincoln. Simply find a kiosk, pay a small fee to check out a bike and explore the city. Learn more at go.unl.edu/bike-lnk.

  • A tour of the capitol building is a must-do for history and architecture gurus. Visit capitol.nebraska.gov/visit to plan yours.
