Global Delegate Scholarship

The Global Delegate Scholarship is awarded to international students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and have met the English language requirement for unconditional admission. This scholarship can only be applied to international University of Nebraska–Lincoln tuition.

Award

The total value of this scholarship is up to $16,000 for four years.

Recipients are awarded $4,000 toward University of Nebraska–Lincoln undergraduate tuition for the academic year ($2,000/semester) for up to four years, not including summers based on enrollment in 15 crdits per fall/spring semester (prorated for enrollment in fewer than 15 credit hours per semester) to help offset international tuition.

Deadline

Fall admits must be admitted to Nebraska and pay their enrollment deposit by May 1.

Spring admits must be admitted to Nebraska and pay their enrollment deposit by December 1.

English Proficiency Deadlines:

  • Fall: July 15
  • Spring: December 1

Review Basis

All international admits are evaluated for Global Scholarships upon admission. The scholarship committee employs a masked confidential holistic review process that includes a balanced objective assessment of academic achievement with a subjective final academic review.

Renewability

Students must maintain a 2.000 cumulative GPA and complete 24 credit hours each academic year (fall/spring). See full guidelines for scholarship.

Transferability

The scholarship is not transferable in part or in whole to any other university or campus, including the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO), the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK), the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture (NCTA) or the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). This scholarship will not cover the cost of tuition for classes taken at UNO, UNK, NCTA or UNMC.

As a public tuition benefit under Nebraska State Statute 4-110, individuals awarded these funds must be citizens of the United States or if a qualified alien have been verified as lawfully present in the United States (Nebraska State Statutes 4-111 and 4-112).
