President's Scholarship

Awarded to incoming admits with top test scores of 36 ACT (1570–1600 SAT). There is a selective application process open to incoming admits with 32–35 ACT (1420–1560 SAT).

Award

Full cost of attendance for up to four years (or completion of a bachelor’s degree), with three inclusive summers, plus an annual $5,000 stipend. Cost of attendance includes full tuition and required fees plus the standard budgeted amount for housing and meals, books and supplies, and personal expenses.

Deadline

  • Priority: Submit the application for admission by November 1.
  • Final: Students with 32-35 ACT (1420–1560 SAT) applying through the selective application process must apply for admission and submit by January 1. Those with top test scores of 36 ACT (1570–1600 SAT) should apply to the university by the February 1 scholarship deadline.

Review Basis

Must be a Nebraska resident and graduating high school senior.

Incoming admits with top test scores of 36 ACT (1570–1600 SAT) are automatically considered for the President's Scholarship.

There is a selective application process open to incoming admits with a 32–35 ACT score (1420–1560 SAT), available November 1 through January 1. The application process is highly competitive and will be awarded to students with exceptional high school performance and test scores as well as a compelling essay.

Renewability

Students must maintain a 3.500 cumulative GPA and complete 24 credit hours each academic year. See full guidelines for scholarship.

Transferability

The President's Scholarship may transfer to any other university or campus of the University of Nebraska System, including the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO), the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK), the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture (NCTA) or the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC).

Note: The University of Nebraska does not discriminate based upon any protected status. Scholarships are subject to change each year for new incoming students. As a public tuition benefit under Nebraska State Statute 4-110, individuals awarded these funds must be citizens of the United States or if a qualified alien have been verified as lawfully present in the United States (Nebraska State Statutes 4-111 and 4-112).
