Job Description

The Office of Admissions is looking for passionate and energetic Huskers to be the face of the University! Come join the Campus Visits Team and give tours to prospective students and families as the next Nebraska Tour Guide!

Now Hiring Nebraska Tour Guides for Fall 2025

  • Preferred Start Date: August 2025
  • Additional Start Date: May 2025

Husker Weekday Visit Schedule:

Summer Hours: 

  • Monday and Friday
    • (9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.)
    • (11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.)
  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
    • (9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.)
  • Events will also be available in late July & early August
    • (8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.)

Fall and Spring Semester Hours:

  • Monday and Friday
    • (9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.)
    • (11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.)
    • (1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.)
  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
    • (9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.)
    • (1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.)

Duties:

  • Perform 90-minute walking tours of campus to prospective students and their families in various weather conditions.
  • Provide an exceptional Husker welcome to each Nebraska visitor.
  • Participate in a variety of different shifts for admissions events/group visits such as student panelist, traffic guidance for events, and Residence Hall tours.
  • Develop relationships with Office of Admissions professional staff and fellow tour guides.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team, and be flexible with responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Available for at least 2 shifts a week.
  • Must be a current undergraduate student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
  • Enthusiasm for UNL-- Share your knowledge, passion, and reason for choosing Nebraska with all visitors.
  • Willingness to Speak Publicly: Engage with visitors and large groups, presenting with enthusiasm and confidence.
  • Ability to Answer Questions: Provide professional, positive, and knowledgeable responses about UNL, student life, and the admissions process.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with on campus living.
  • Bilingual speakers are strongly encouraged to apply.
