Getting Around

Rideshares:

Lyft and Uber are both active in Lincoln and are typically available within 5-10 minutes of a ride request.

Walking:

Downtown is very walkable and Lincoln has over 130 miles of trails throughout the city, many of them paved.

Bike Rental:

You can find bike-share units, called BikeLNK, throughout downtown Lincoln. Simply find a kiosk, pay a small fee to check out a bike and explore the city. Learn more at go.unl.edu/bike-lnk.

Dining

Downtown Lincoln boasts 105+ restaurants, coffee bars and dessert vendors. Visit go.unl.edu/downtown-dining to find a variety of restaurants that are walking distance from campus—use the filters to find the cuisine you want.

Shopping

Visit the small shops and boutiques in the Historic Haymarket District, including the From Nebraska Gift Shop.

Get in on local crafts and eats at the Haymarket Farmers' Market, Saturdays May–Oct, 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Head to Gateway Mall for essential clothes and gadget shopping.

Seeing the Sights

A tour of the capitol building is a must for history and architecture gurus. Visit capitol.nebraska.gov/visit to plan yours.

Sheldon Museum of Art, located right next to City Campus, is a free-admission museum featuring rotating exhibitions and a sculpture garden.
