The University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s summer camps are designed for high school seniors, juniors, sophomores and freshmen to ignite their passions, make friendships and prepare for their future on Nebraska’s campus.

From STEM exploration to arts and business, our diverse range of camps offer something for everyone.

    Rising or graduating high school seniors with an interest in learning about accounting, the language of business, can take the first step toward finding their future career at Discover Accounting. No prior coursework in accounting or business necessary.

  • Discover Transportation Engineering

    Discover Transportation Engineering is a summer program for all rising high school sophomores and juniors with an interest in civil or transportation engineering. Students will spend two nights on City Campus, meet with industry professionals and compete to create transportation solutions.

    Big Red Camps offer 13 distinct college and career exploration programs encompassing areas such as art, education, engineering, and physical and social sciences. Hosted at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the campus, meet people from across the country, spend time investigating an interest or potential career and showcase your achievements.

  • Career Explorations Workshop: Architecture, Interior Design and Landscape Architecture

    This interactive workshop, developed for high school students at all levels, provides a unique experience to learn more about the design professions of architecture, landscape architecture and interior design. The workshop provides learning opportunities through discussions, design studio explorations and video presentations.

    High School Rising Seniors, First-Generation or Low-Income Status

    Rising high school seniors with an interest in the dynamic world of business can explore potential career opportunities, make connections with people with similar goals, interact with faculty and staff and sharpen leadership and networking skills. Students attending the program may qualify for a renewable $2,000 scholarship to study at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

  • Innovate: The Raikes School Way

    Innovate: The Raikes School Way is a two-week summer program designed for students interested in computer science, programming and innovative entrepreneurship. Students expected to enter college in the fall of 2025 will be given priority based on total applications. Those in the high school class of 2026 may also be accepted on a space-available basis.
