Open House | Select Thursdays and Fridays

The Big Red Experience is an open house half-day visit with morning and afternoon options designed to help you experience the best of Nebraska while exploring your future academic path. During a Big Red Experience visit, you’ll tour campus with a current Nebraska student as your guide, attend academic sessions of your choice, learn more about student involvement opportunities and discuss your next steps to Nebraska!

In keeping with recommended health and safety guidelines, capacity is limited. Students are allowed to bring only two guests. Pre-registration is required; we are unable to accept walk-ins. If you have any questions about this event or applying to Nebraska, please contact the Nebraska Office of Admissions at 402-472-2023.

The cost to attend the Big Red Experience is $5/person.

COVID-19 Event Information

In response to guidance from the CDC and the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health department, those who are fully vaccinated from COVID-19 are not required to wear face masks or socially distance—indoors or outdoors—on UNL campuses or in our facilities.

All students, faculty, staff and visitors who are not vaccinated are expected to continue to wear face masks and practice social distancing. If you have not yet been vaccinated, we strongly encourage you to do so. Vaccines are readily available locally through the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department and local pharmacies.

The Office of Admissions is committed to hosting prospective students in a variety of platforms. If an on-campus experience is not the right option for you, virtual experiences are available. Join us for one of our recurring online info sessions or for a 1-to-1 phone or video conference appointment. Click the button below to learn more and register.
