There is No Place Like Nebraska

Get a closer look at all you can accomplish at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln! At Big Red Experience, you'll explore campus alongside a current student, enjoy a meal in a dining center, discover opportunities for student involvement and explore resources designed to help you succeed. Plus, you'll dive deep into your career interests during dedicated academic sessions.

Program Fee: $5 per person. There are no refunds on program fees.

8:30 a.m.

Check-in

Check-in will begin in the Nebraska Union (1400 R St.) at 8:30 a.m. At check-in, we'll give you everything you'll need for your day ahead.

9 a.m.

Welcome to Nebraska

Get a "big picture" introduction to the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

9:30 a.m.

Campus Tour

Experience what life is like as a student at Nebraska. We'll walk the tour, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes.

11 a.m.

Academic Session 1

Choose from a variety of academic disciplines and learn more about your fields of interest in these breakout sessions hosted by our academic colleges and departments.

11:30 a.m.

Academic Session 2

Choose from a variety of academic disciplines and learn more about your fields of interest in these breakout sessions hosted by our academic colleges and departments.

12:15 p.m.

Lunch

Enjoy lunch at one of our on-campus dining centers. The cost of lunch will be covered in the $5 registration fee.
1:30 p.m.

Optional College Facility Tours

You'll have a chance to see a facility space provided by our colleges following lunch. Explore more in depth where future classes are held and the resources and support provided.

Parking & Check-in

Parking is available at the Larson Building (1317 Q Street) and Que Place (1111 Q Street) parking garages. No need to pay—we'll provide a parking validation code at check-in.
