Open House | Half Day

Families, experience what life is like as a student at Nebraska and learn how to prepare. Spanish Visit Days are free campus visit opportunities open to any student and their guests. Your tour and each of the sessions throughout your day will be hosted in Spanish.

During your visit, you’ll tour campus with a current Nebraska student as your guide, explore your academic interests and discover the many services that help students at Nebraska succeed.

As it has done throughout the pandemic, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln continues to follow the most recent guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department.

The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department has issued a directed health measure requiring face masks in all indoor spaces. Face masks are required in all indoor spaces on the University of Nebraska–Lincoln campus in accordance with the measure.

The Office of Admissions is committed to hosting prospective students in a variety of platforms. If an on-campus experience is not the right option for you, virtual experiences are available. Check-in will begin at 10 a.m. in the Nebraska Student Union (1400 R St.). Parking is available at the Larson Building (1317 Q St.) and Que Place (1111 Q St.) parking garages.

Get a “big picture” introduction to the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

11 a.m.

Campus Tour/El almuerzo y recorrido del campus

Experience what life is like as a student at Nebraska. We'll walk the tour, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes.

12:30 p.m.

Lunch and Student Panel/Panel de estudiantes de Nebraska

Enjoy a free all-you-can-eat lunch in one of our on-campus dining halls. Pick up your complimentary lunch ticket at check-in and listen to what current students have to say about their experiences at Nebraska.

1:15 p.m.

Student Resources at Nebraska Session/Sesión de recursos del campus

Hear from our Office of Academic Success and Intercultural Services (OASIS) about the various resources and support they provide to students.

1:30 p.m.

Learning Communities at Nebraska/Sesión de Learning Communities

Students with a shared academic interest and/or experience live together, often on the same residence hall floor, learn together through at least one shared class, connect to students, upper-class student mentors and faculty with shared interests, prepare for the future through exclusive academic, social and professional activities and events.

1:45 p.m.

Paying for College/Sesión de como pagar la universidad

A financial aid advisor will discuss your many options and opportunities for financial aid and scholarships. We'll also introduce the required Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) which helps determine eligibility for a variety of grants, scholarships and other forms of financial assistance.
