Experience for yourself what life is like as a student at Nebraska. During your Red Letter Day, you’ll tour campus with a current student, eat lunch in a dining center, learn about student engagement opportunities and resources for success and delve into your career path during academic sessions.

Pre-registration vs. Walk-in

Because Red Letter Days fill up quickly, we encourage you to reserve your spot early. Walk-in registration is open only on a space-available basis the day of the event.

Your pre-registration will also allow us to prepare for your visit, ensuring you the best possible campus experience.

Program Fee: $5 per person. There are no refunds on program fees.

Check-in

Check-in will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Nebraska Student Union (1400 R St.). At check-in, we’ll validate your parking and give you the necessary materials for your day ahead.

Welcome to Nebraska

Get a “big picture” introduction to the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

9:30 a.m.

Campus Tour

Experience what life is like as a student at Nebraska. We’ll walk the tour, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes.

10:30 a.m.

Academic Session 1

Choose from a variety of academic disciplines and learn more about your fields of interest in these breakout sessions hosted by our academic colleges and departments.

11 a.m.

Academic Session 2

Choose from a variety of academic disciplines and learn more about your fields of interest in these breakout sessions hosted by our academic colleges and departments.

11:30 a.m.

Lunch and Tour of Residence Halls

Enjoy lunch in one of our on-campus dining halls—the cost will be covered in your $5 registration fee. Following lunch, visit one of Nebraska’s traditional residence halls and see for yourself where you could be living. Learn more.

Student Engagement Session 1

Every college experience includes time spent outside of the classroom. We encourage students at Nebraska to live out their passions. During these engaging and interactive sessions, learn more about: Fraternity and Sorority Life, Honors Programs, Learning Communities, College Parent 101 and more.

Browsing Fair

Meet students and staff from all academic colleges represented at Nebraska. Admissions staff are also available to help you navigate through the admissions process while addressing any other questions you may have.

Suite Style Residence Hall Tour

On this tour, you will get to see what it would be like to live in one of our suite-style residence halls. Tour will leave at 2 p.m. to accommodate 2:30 p.m. facility tours. The tour will be offered again at 2:30 p.m.

Additional Tours

At the end of the day, additional tours will be provided. You can request to visit East Campus and more.

Parking & Check-In

Parking can be found at the Larson or Que Place parking garages. No need to pay—bring your stub and we will validate it before you leave.
