Remove Admission Deficiencies

There are options available for prospective students to fulfill certain course requirements prior to being admitted to Nebraska.

Transfer Credit Calculation

One (1) college semester course must be completed to remove any fraction of one unit of deficiency.

For example: 1/2 unit deficiency in 4th year math = one college semester of an equivalent course.

How to Meet Core Course Requirements

University of Nebraska Online High School

You can take a course through our University of Nebraska Online High School to remove a deficiency.

Visit University of Nebraska High School's Website

Community Colleges and Courses

For students who graduated high school January 1997 or later, view our list of suggested community colleges and courses below that will help you fulfill our requirements for admission.

One community college course = one unit (year) of high school work.

Note: Your Nebraska college will determine whether or not courses used to meet admission requirements can also apply toward your University of Nebraska–Lincoln degree requirements.
