University Honors

The University Honors Program equips you to solve big problems and make a difference in the world by developing and strengthening your ability to learn, adapt, create and innovate. Through Honors, you will:

  • Belong to a supportive community of professors, advisors and high-achieving, hard-working peers from every college at Nebraska.
  • Challenge yourself through a customizable Honors education that includes a variety of small, interactive and interdisciplinary seminars taught by top faculty.
  • Develop professional and leadership skills through meaningful, community-based internships, Honors student organizations, and interactions with guest speakers and alumni.
  • Learn through hands-on educational experiences, from participating in study abroad to serving the community through fall break service trips or afterschool clubs for K-12 youth.
  • Have the choice to live in a community of students who share your academic drive in the suite-style Knoll Residential Center.

Jeffrey S. Raikes School of Computer Science and Management

The Raikes School is building future leaders for technology-driven industries through interdisciplinary education in computer science, business, and innovation. As a student in the Raikes School, you will have opportunities to:

  • Earn internship and full-time positions at premier companies in technology and business, or start your own business, as the Raikes School boasts a 100% job-placement rate for graduates.
  • Join a living-learning environment in the Kauffman Academic Residential Center, providing the camaraderie of a small prestigious college with benefits of a Big Ten institution.
  • Develop leadership, project management, analytical, and communication skills through a two-year capstone experience, creating software-based solutions for industry partners.
  • Learn through coursework combining technical know-how with real-world, practical applications.
  • Receive an overall average of $24,000 over a four-year period in scholarships from the Raikes School to support your living experience at Nebraska.

Nebraska Business Honors Academy

  • Develop a collaborative community of peers and have access to a strong network of alumni eager to help support you.
  • Travel abroad with a $2,500 scholarship towards a university-sponsored study abroad experience.
